Paddle tail swimbaits are bass catchers year round, in any water conditions. Simply put, they imitate the look and feel of baitfish better than anything else.

When To Use Paddle Tail Swimbaits?

Since a swimbait is a lure which can be worked as fast or as slow as the fisherman sees fit, the paddle tail swimbait shines during late winter through early spring months. Fish are actively feeding during this time, especially as the pre-spawn/spawn nears.

What do weakfish eat?

Weakfish prey upon small schooling fish such as anchovies and menhaden, and will also eat crabs, shrimp, mollusks and large zooplankton. Once a weakfish sees its prey, it will slowly move toward it, then quickly lunge at it with open jaws.

What bait is best for tailor?

When baitfishing, the best whole baits to use are small fish such as silver and blue pilchards, sea garfish, frog-mouth pilchards, river garfish, yellowtail and slimy mackerel. Fillets of mullet, tuna and even tailor will also entice them to bite. For small tailor, tiny white pilchards and frogmouth pilchards are best.
